Status Check: Vehicle Not Found
What does the status "Vehicle Not Found" mean, and what should you be aware of?
Vehicle Not Found - What Does It Mean?
During our data query, we cross-check the provided vehicle information directly with the database of the Federal Motor Transport Authority. In this case, we received feedback that the combination of license plate and VIN could not be found. This usually happens for one of two reasons:
- The provided data is incorrect, or there is a typo, and the vehicle could not be located.
- If all data is correct, this usually means: The vehicle with the given VIN has already been re-registered or assigned a new license plate.
In short: please double-check that all the data you’ve entered is correct. If the data is accurate, the vehicle has likely already been re-registered and is no longer associated with your name or your insurance.
